Updated on September 16, 2021

Finding the best drone under 700 Dollars can be a difficult task. There are so many drones to choose from that it's hard to find one that suits all your needs. With this blog post, I'll walk you through five of the most popular drones under 700 bucks and tell you why they're worth buying.

In this blog post, I wanted to talk about something that's been on my mind for a while. There are several different drones to choose from and it can be difficult finding the best drone under 700 dollars. The market is flooded with all types of high-quality drones and sometimes it feels like we're drowning in choices and options!

I wanted to spend some time giving you a few tips and tricks, as well as my personal top 3 picks in this price range. In this article, I will cover what to look for when buying a drone under 700 dollars. My own recommendations on what to buy and why.

Please note: This is not an in-depth guide. I'm not going to explain every single feature of the drones in my top 3 list. This article is for people who are unfamiliar with drones and want a quick overview of what's available. If you're an experienced drone user, this blog post probably isn't best for you.

1) The DJI Mini 2

The DJI Mini 2 is probably the best choice at this moment, for those who are new to drones and looking for their first drone for under 700 dollars. This little quadcopter is very easy and fun to fly and has the added bonus of having an HD camera. The video quality and stability aren't on par with Mavic 2 Air or Mavic 2 Pro, but it can shoot in 4K at 30 frames per second, it supports up to 10 kilometers of HD video transmission, and its weight is only 249 g. It is pretty impressive considering how cheap this drone is.

2) FIMI X8 Mini

FIMI X8 is another compact drone with a 4K camera. It's also foldable and has a similar wind resistance. The FIMI X8 Mini is suitable for beginners and advanced flyers who like to travel and use drones both indoors and outdoors. This little guy not only has a lot of similar smart functions like DJI Mini 2 but also can be charged by USB-C wire. It is a really good and handy feature, just imagine, you are in mountains, your drone battery is almost empty, but you just connect it to your power bank, and after a while, you can fly it again.

3) Parrot Anafi 4K Portable Drone

The Parrot Anafi 4K Portable Drone is another great choice for beginners. It may not have the best camera out there, but it has a very unique feature - a 180° rotating camera. You can rotate it in any direction to take the best angle possible. This drone also has a 1.4x lossless zoom in 4K quality. However, these features in my opinion isn't worth this price, compared to what DJI Mini 2 can offer.

What to not forget before buying a drone? There are different types of drones which can cover so many needs and purposes. Weight, battery life, flight range, durability and many other factors. Do not forget about spare parts too! Drones are different from smartphones or computers because they can be broken very easily. I crashed my Mavic 2 Pro four times, it works well, but I already changed my propellers 3 times. It is also quite handy to have some spare batteries, ND filter for camera, and LIPO battery bag if you plan to travel by airplane.

What to know before buying a drone?

Some other factors which you have to consider when buying a drone is weather, location where your drone will be flown, speed and altitude range. What if you are flying in the middle of winter? If it's really cold outside, you can't fly your drones. There are many drones which lost their functionalities when it's too cold. As well as if you are flying in the hot weather, you can't fly your drone at high speed or altitude because they might overheat.

Also do not forget about wind resistance and safety features like obstacle avoidance. Safety is always number one thing when buying drones! Especially indoor drones which are small and easy to crash into things or other people. So if you are buying a drone, which you should fly indoors, make sure that it has obstacle avoidance sensors both on the bottom and front side to avoid crashing into walls etc.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a drone under 700 dollars to learn your flying skills, the DJI Mini 2 is probably the best choice. The main advantage of this model is its simplicity and ease of use, as well as an 4K camera, well known brand, and many smart flight modes. However, if you can spend a little bit more money, I highly recommend getting one of the premium models like Mavic 2 Pro or Mavic 2 Air. They are much more powerful, have more functions, and have much better image quality because of the bigger sensor. It is especially visible in the low light.
